Who are we at the East Denver Bible Baptist Church?
Loren and Kathleen Richmond.
Loren was born in Cuba, New York in 1952. Kathleen was
born in Denver, Colorado in 1956. They have four children, Katherine,
Loren Jr., Sarah, and Deborah. They are all college graduates. Loren
attended Cedarville College in Ohio and graduated from Baptist Bible
College in Springfield, Missouri in 1974. Kathleen graduated from
Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin in 1979. She
finished a Master's degree in Education from Louisanna Baptist
University in Shreveport, Louisianna in 2008. Loren Richmond served as
Youth Pastor from 1974-1978 with Bob Adrian at Long Island Baptist
Temple in Mineola, New York. The Richmonds were married June 22, 1979 in
Littleton, Colorado, and returned to New York City to serve in the
ministry of Queens Bible Baptist Church through 1980. They then
ministered a few months in Woodbridge, Virginia. They returned to New
York in 1981, where Loren pastored Victory Bible Baptist Church until
1991. The church merged, and today is known as All Nations Baptist
Church of Woodhaven, Queens. In 1991, Pator and Mrs. Richmond moved to
Denver, Colorado, and were active as Lay People in various ministries of
Mountain States Baptist Church, Littleton Baptist Church, and Arvada
Baptist Church. Their involvement with Thanksgiving Outreach with the
East Denver YMCA (1998 was the first outreach) led them to start the
East Denver Bible Baptist Church. They worked for three years in this
capacity, and in December of 2000, started holding meetings in their
home. In June of 2001, started the East Denver Bible Baptist Church at
the old East Denver YMCA.
